What's In A Cup Of Coffee?

What's in a cup of coffee? Perhaps a lot more than you think. I am a coffee lover. One of life's little pleasures is to sit down with a great cup of coffee and enjoy the moment.

My first coffee love was Maxwell House. From there, I moved to Folgers...... as a kid I liked the thought of all those beans being hand picked by Juan Valdez! Finally, I met this incredible woman over a cup of coffee. We talked the whole night long, shutting down one restaurant and going on to another. We were soon married and now 17 years later, still together and often enjoying a great cup of coffee together. By the way, she introduced me to my other love....... Dunkin Donuts Coffee! Am I evermore addicted.

Coffee is about more than a drink. It draws us into conversation. For instance, I cannot tell you how many thousands of feet of pipe I have sold over a cup of coffee. Deals are done, business is transacted, promises are made, and memories are shared. All over a cup of coffee. I can't explain it, but coffee seems to beg for conversation. You just can't help yourself, you have to speak to someone, even if it is just to say hello or talk about the weather. Coffee and conversation go hand in hand.

So the next time you grab a cup of coffee............... just remember, there is more in a cup of coffee than you think. You could be meeting the love of your life, or about to take the largest order you have ever written. You just don't know what that cup of coffee holds for your future. So drink it slowly and enjoy. You just never know, what is in a cup of coffee.
